Whether classic or modern, gold-plated or silver-plated or simply colored with natural pigments. Each frame is unique, designed by yourself or made exactly according to your wishes.
Handmade picture frames offer a wide variety of designs
A handmade picture frame is worked "around the corner", which means there is no visible seam in the corners of the frame. The frame is cut to the desired dimensions and assembled, only then do we start with the surface treatment: gold plating, silver plating, decoration, engraving, hallmarking, colored design, etc. There are no limits to the design options here.
In addition to various metals with which the frame can be covered, there is the option of adding ornaments or engraving the surface.An extensive inventory of antique sulfur molds allows us to give a gilded frame a very special look or to recreate a specific style. For this purpose, the gilding mass is mixed according to a special recipe and pressed into the sulfur molds. Then the decorations are released from the molds and modeled onto the corners of the frame.

Natural wood has a very special charm. Profiled or plain, we have a large selection of different strips ready for you.
Picture frames made of solid wood and with veneered surfaces
Our natural wood picture frames are made by hand from different types of wood. The surfaces are stained, glazed or simply waxed, so the original character of the wood is preserved. The surface structure is emphasized, the grain shines through, the living material wood is protected against environmental influences and the special charm of the wood is shown to its best advantage.

Staining is the coloring of the wood fibers. The glaze forms a film, it is at most a slight tint in the respective color. The wood structure continues to shine through here.

Passepartout
We have many different colored boxes for you to choose from, exclusively in acid-free quality, so that you can enjoy your picture for a long time.
A passe-partout is not just a simple paper frame, but an important design element that ensures the necessary distance from the glass and directs the viewer's gaze to the work of art. Only the passe-partout helps the picture to achieve its overall effect. But passe-partouts have to be able to do more than just look good. The quality of the cardboard used has a decisive influence on the durability of a picture. Besides the backing board, it is the only material that comes into direct contact with the work to be framed.
We only use acid-free museum passe-partouts that guarantee aging resistance, color fastness and lightfastness.
Multiple cut-outs, colored bevel cuts, double passe-partouts: there are hardly any limits to the creative possibilities.
If no passe-partout is desired, the alternative is to use spacers that are hidden in the fold of the frame.
The back wall must also be made of acid-free material. The image is always mounted with strips of acid-free paper and reversible adhesives. In the end, everything is glued dust-tight and your picture is optimally protected.
Photographs, prints, old certificates and documents, drawings and watercolors: paper is one of the most commonly used materials in art. Because it consists primarily of plant fibers, paper is subject to natural changes. It can yellow over time, become brittle or mold under the influence of moisture. All works on paper that are close to your heart and that you bring to us are framed from a conservation point of view in order to prevent this aging process. The first step is an appropriate selection of materials for the conservational framing.
Gilding and silvering
We cover objects of all kinds with precious leaf metal. Centuries-old handicraft techniques are used.
We have been gilding picture frames and objects for over 20 years, also outdoors.
A distinction is made between weatherproof oil gilding, which is also used outdoors, and poliment gilding. Poliment gilding offers the widest range of picture frames.

Processing of picture glass
Glass is an essential part of almost every frame. It protects your image from mechanical stress and other environmental influences. Unfortunately, it also reflects strongly, which is perceived as annoying. That is why we offer our customers anti-reflective museum glass, which reduces reflection to a minimum and filters harmful UV radiation. Your picture is thus optimally protected.
In addition to normal glass, we offer our customers anti-reflective museum glass with an optical interference effect. Interference glasses are characterized by being largely glare-free and enable the clearest view of the image.
From a conservation point of view, you should opt for UV protective glass, since ultraviolet radiation and also that of artificial light sources can damage the object. The inks and paper are protected from fading or yellowing with the help of this glass UV barrier.
